After reading other reviews of these bottle I bought one of each, KK and New Wave Envrio in the 40oz size for field testing and the end result is that I can hardly tell the difference between them. They are identical in size shape and appearance other than the logo and so far as I can tell they are the same grade and thickness of steel, even to the point of being within a gram of the same weight without the caps. (that's 1 paper clip worth of metal)In usage the only difference I've noticed is that the metal cap on the NWE makes a bit of racket unless you use extreme care when opening it. This might make a difference if you are trying to sneak up on some wildlife, but for general hiking use probably won't. Since it is metal rubbing on metal it might also cause the bottle to start leaking in 50 years or so. The BSP-free type5 plastic cap on the KK doesn't require as much effort to open quietly, but being plastic will probably need to be replaced in only 5 or 10 years, though at least it won't cause the bottle itself any wear.End analysis: 46 cents difference and do you want a metal cap?

The bottle works very well for my needs. No major complaints.As written on the bottle, before use it needs to be cleaned thoroughly using white vinegar or baking soda. Before doing so, it had a classic metal taste. Afterward, no taste at all. The bottom of the bottle did deform itself outward after some water froze in it (increased air pressure). I used a hammer to put the bottom back into it's normal cup shape. Surprisingly it took very little force, which leads me to agree with others that it isn't the sturdiest bottle I've seen. Opening is relatively wide for easy cleaning and dropping in ice cubes. Cap is plastic with a rubber-looking gasket that seals it quite well - assuming you tighten it properly. Threads are metal on metal, so it's a necessity.Not really complaints - but good-to-knows about the nature of the bottle:* It's stainless steel, so it absorbs and releases cold/heat quite easily. Varying temperatures from ambient will make your hands cold/hot while using it, not to mention the inevitable condensation. An insulating carrying tote would be ideal - but I haven't found one for it yet.* The metal is a little soft/thin for my taste, but I'm assuming it was a trade-off of weight vs sturdiness. It will dent if banged around.* Obviously it's going to be a bit heavier than your average plastic water bottle. The carrying hole in the cap fits my middle finger perfectly, and it doesn't feel heavy when doing so. But I could see carrying it on a long walk might get tiresome.* It's a little noisy screwing it on and off - clanging of metal against metal.Again - nature of the beast. If you're not comfortable with these inherent aspects of metal bottles, you'll probably want to go plastic. If it's not an issue, this one won't disappoint.

The merchant Together-Bottle is NOT selling the New Wave Enviro bottle. It is an equivalent bottle, one that I have been satisfied with.The bottle I received is a 1837ml/40 oz ECOtanka bottle. The bottle is virtually identical, sharing the same attributes as the New Wave Enviro: .6mm wall 304-grade SS and a SS cap.The merchant was very understanding when I contacted them and expressed my concern that the product received was not the one that I had ordered. They said that they have a 100% return policy and they would even pay shipping for the return. I asked if I could try the bottles as I really didn't want to hassle with the return and the details for how long from the purchase date I could return them. They again emphasized a 100% return policy no strings attached.I have had the bottle for a week now and am very satisfied with it, I find it to be of equal quality to the New Wave Enviro bottle that I already have, but at a much cheaper price.I'm rating this three stars simply because the listing is misleading.The bottle and customer services from Together-Bottle are A+. Would buy again.

I've purchased at least two of these bottles. The original bottle I purchased a few years ago was solid and I would have easily given it 5 stars. Fast foward to the end of 2015. I lost my original bottle and ordered what is being marketed as the same bottle. Well the new version is filmsy and comes with tacky writing that is not found on the original. What makes this product SUCK the most is that I don't know if it's a design flaw or if I merely have a defective product but regardless of how well I secure the lid, my bottle often leaks. It's as if the lid doesn't fit properly. Needless to say that I am sore displeased with this lousy product after loving the original.

I drink a lot of water to keep myself hydrated, and I love my New Wave Enviro 40 ouncers because they're big enough for a workout, but not so big as to be unmanageable.I have several of them and keep them everywhere (my desk, my car, my office, etc.) so I always have water to drink.The stainless steel holds up well, even though the bottles have been dinged and banged. The Clip is great for hooking my keys on. The lids are stainless inner with a plastic outer. Because the inner is stainless, it's not a quiet task to open or close, so the library or a recital probably isn't the best place to use these. I have found that after a few years of heavy use, the plastic top seems to separate from the stainless lid and it becomes difficult to open. However, it's possible to purchase new lids to keep the bottle in service.

I really love this water bottle. It stays cold for a long time, and holds a lot of water.I ordered the BUILT neoprene koozy for this also, which makes it so easy to slip the handle of the water bottle koozy over the handle of my wheeled briefcase and go!!I also ordered the two-pack of sports caps. This fit great and work very well, however, they do whistle like a bird when drinking out of the bottle. It does help some to loosen the cap just a tad.Overall, I'd definitely purchase again!!Oh... this bottle can also double as an ice pack if needed! I'm a FT student with a knee injury, and need to ice on occasion, since the bottle is aluminium, it retains cold very well - which works great to just prop the bottle between my knee and the desk, and viola! Treatment in a bottle!!

Bought this bottle about a month ago and used it everywhere I went - the gym, office, etc. Had no complaints about it (it's a water bottle) and am/was looking to get rid of all the plastic utensils, bottles and containers I use. This fit the bill fine and really, the 40z is perfect for the gym too.However, the plastic cap became disconnected while twisting the cap on - the cap itself is metal but the plastic top is cheap plastic and seems to be attached solely by a rivet in the metal and 'snaps' on. Well sorry, to get the bottle to close FULLY (aka no leaks) you have to twist the sucker pretty hard, which at first I appreciated thinking it spoke to the sturdiness of a steel water bottle. But nope, the plastic popped right off and now can't pop back in without doing it over and over, basically I have a bottle but no lid.Have seen a few other reviews about this as well so wish I would have seen them before buying - go elsewhere for a steel bottle if you want a cap to it.

I bought this item with high expectations. I'm a big guy, and I drink lots of fluids during the day. I bought this in hopes of replacing my habit of drinking big soft drinks with water.For two weeks, this worked well. Then, lo and behold, one of the bottles sprung a leak around the cap. Thinking the cap was the offending part, I purchased a new one. After receiving it, I tried again and the water leaked WORSE!On closer inspection, it seems that the metal opening itself had bent, and the cap was no longer able to seat properly, ensuring a good seal. So, now, unless I plan on keeping the bottle absolutely upright for the entire day, the bottle is worthless.I cannot recommend this for purchase to anyone. As a matter of fact, I'd rather have spent my money on a different brand.
