I have had this container for about a month and it still has a plasticky smell. In addition every time I try to open the top of it to pour out cereal the whole lid lifts from the container.I tried to return it when I first got it but they said it was non-returnable

Very pleased with the quality of this storage container. The lids appear to close very securely and I believe will keep the ants out that insist on visiting my home a couple of times a year. I may purchase some smaller Rubbermaid containers for smaller boxed items. Very satisfied with my order.

It works for what I needed, but the flap on the lid gets in the way when pouring. It’s annoying when pouring cereal for my toddler while holding my newborn because they flap won’t stay open.Definitely not “one hand friendly”.

Don’t buy these! They have a terrible chemical smell! Even after washing a container twice, it made the food taste like chemicals. I bought several because of the good reviews and Amazon says they are not returnable. What a waste of money!

This cereal keeper holds a large family size of boxed cereal. That part is great. The only problem I have with it is the fact when you go to pour cereal out of the top portion of the lid, the whole lid comes off the container itself, because the top lid gets stuck and will not open until it pulls the whole lid that attaches to the container itself. Just very aggravating. Cereal spills out all over the counter most of the tine because of this. If they could fix this problem, it would be a five star from me.

We had several already, but wanted one more to store several different kinds of cereal. Easy to open and refill, since it holds (in most cases) a full box (or bag from the warehouse stores). Easy to identify the kind of contents (semi-transparent). Easy to wash and keep clean.

The round/oval hole makes it difficult to pour certain types of cereal. The cereal gets clogged at the mouth. BUT they are big enough to hold a full bag of the generic Malt-O-Meal cereal.

Terrible product because of the smell. I have two of these and three with the light blue tops and they all retain a plastic smell no matter what you do. I tried their tips including vinegar but the smell persists.

These are great! I'm really loving them so far. My only complaint about them at this time is that they arrived very dirty (probably from the Amazon warehouse). Also, when I tried to remove the stickers, they left a sticky residue on the side of the container. While I can get it off with Goo Gone, its still an inconvenience for me to have to remove it. Otherwise, these are great containers.
