I dont typically write reviews, but for this one, i felt i had to, as I had perfect coffee to begin my day!I had regular Costco Columbian supreme coffee powder, it wasnt espresso level powder, I was in costco yesterday decided to take that powder and get it powdered in espresso setting and made myself first cappuccino this morning, It was fantastic! my family coffee fanatics, my dad was impressed too, I learnt for milk frother to work, I had to pour extra water and then set the machine steam, it took less than 5 to 6 mins to make two cups of cappuccino, i'm not sure how durable this is going to be though, given that I paid only $25, even if its last for 6 months, I got my money's worth!More to come, in few months after continuous use.

** Downgrading to 1 start - the handle which broke off today. This product is junk and not worth the money **For years I have used the Bella Model C15 Espresso maker and have been a loyal Bella customer. However, this "newer" version is of far lesser quality then the C15 in that:- Parts don't fit properly - the cover for the glass carafe has a smaller hole which causes the coffee to drip outside of the cover and spill - literally have to hold it at an angle to prevent spillage, the filter holder can only partially be turned because it doesn't have enough slack, and the water tank lid doesn't have the steam indicator which is a great safety feature- It's poorly designed - the dial to brew or steam is hard to turn - ergonomics is lacking.However, I did manage to get a decent cup of espresso but would highly recommend against buying this version if you could get model the Bella model C15.

This is terrible. You can't brew and steam at the same time, there's never enough water left to steam even when I use the pre measurements on the carafe and it leaks on my counter. Its a pain in the ass to return and I dumped money into the 3 year warranty, I probably won't see that again. I recommend that anyone looking for a small at home espresso maker with a steam wand.... Spend the extra $20-$30 on something nicer, this product is just a pain.

It satisfies my coffee craving, but takes quite a bit to get the milk to froth. I put in extra water just for this. The ensemble does not come with a cup to steam, so you need to find something that will work for this. I've been using a coffee cup to do so, but I also stir it with a spoon when frothing otherwise it seems like it takes too long to get the milk to the temperature you want. I would recommend this for a beginner.

Product broke after 3.5 months of use. Now struggling to get it replaced under warranty. Bella does not have a US location for processing warranty and will not pay shipping charges. Have to ship cut-off electric plug to Canada with increased shipping charges, insurance and complexity like completing customs forms. Clearly, Bella does not want to make it easy for customers

I purchased this item but found that the steamer is pretty weak. Doesn't heat well and sometimes doesn't work at all. I am keeping it for the coffee/espresso as that seems to work well but ended up getting a separate item for milk heating/frothing. Disappointing.

This machine works good, except the steam automatically starts coming out as you are brewing your coffee. There is no option to make it stop, the dial isn't even turned to the steam feature, it just starts coming out the nozzle. I usually set a cup under it to catch it all. Would I buy this same machine again? no, but it works for what I need.

I do not recommend, and I will never buy something that is of the brand "Bella", buy one about 8 months ago and an internal part is damaged, which will cause it to no longer work. I wrote an email based on direct to the company to claim the warranty and so far have not responded.I read elsewhere in the reviews that this brand has no guarantee for the United States, they have these references for their final decision when they want to buy some teaching of this brand.For my part I will never buy another item that is Bella's brand.

This espresso Maker is easy to use, I've seen many people on u-tube use it and they say that it doesn't have enough water to use the steam for frothing the milk but I believe that's because they are not putting enough water in, you need to first add water at the level for 2 or 4 cups then you nee to add water up to the level on the side of the flask that has the steam level. we make great coffee with it, only complain is that once done you need to remove the plastic cover on the steam frother and clean the stainless steel stem and that's not easy as the milk sticks to it.

I am rating as 5 stars because this is the best "bang for the buck" espresso maker I have ever bought. My wife and I like very strong coffee. We drink espresso in coffee sized mugs. When our $1,000 machine died about 4 years ago, we could not afford another expensive one (we are retired on pensions) so we bought a De'Longhi EC155 for about $80 and with regular cleaning it lasted about 2 years, then we bought another De'Longhi EC155 which also lasted about 2 years. I gave the BELLA 13683 a try this time, because of the price - but I am very impressed with our purchase. I love several design features in the BELLA 13883 (Note: we do not make cappuccino, so cannot comment on frother). The fact you cannot turn on/off the steam for frothing looks like a design failure). But for espresso, I love that I can fill with water and walk away without fear the machine will empty a big tank of water all over my countertop. I will still regularly descale, but the design appears that cleaning for coffee oil and residue may not be needed. I love the carafe that fits correctly (other brands don't supply) but I am not using the carafe to measure water quantity because unless I thoroughly clean the carafe, I am contaminating the water tank. I am very impressed. If you want the best bang for the buck espresso maker available, this is for you. If you want cappuccino, I wouldn't buy this model.

This is the third one of these I've bought. The first one carried the Bosch brand name, but I had to leave it in Germany because it was for 220 power. The second one was marketed under the Bella name, but was identical to the Bosch. The third one has been redesigned to look more stylish, however, I prefer the boxy, heavier design of the earlier models. Still, a nice machine that works well.

It makes a decent latte, but it's already falling apart after the first use. I wish I had paid $10 instead of $30. If you're desperately looking for a cheap espresso machine, this will do in a pinch. The glass carafe has a plastic lid that doesn't fit and the plastic handle on the coffee grinds falls off if you look at it the wrong way. Really poor workmanship, no way to heat up the water without letting it out at the same time. Not user friendly at all. I doubt this will last more than a month. I hope it's still returnable by then.

super cheap. so cheap. the clip won't stay on the handle, you can't do steam and espresso at the same time, the mark for steam and coffee on the knob has already worn off. I've only had it two months. The day I got it I declared I'm never buying non-delonghi again.

Works well, fallow the directions before use. It is a good starter machine and seems to work well and saving me cash by drinking at home. Clean steam tube after every use or it will get nasty and clogged. Well I’m off to fire it up and make some.

I had to return this product because it was made so poorly. The seam valve works fine when the unit is cold, but as soon as the unit heats up, the gaskets in the valve expand and make it impossible to turn the valve without using both hands, one to hold the unit from falling over and the other to turn the steam valve, which makes it impossible to turn off the steam after you have finished making foamed milk. Don't buy this item. You won't like it.

Stand alone on the electric receptacle. I really like this machine. I had some problems at first because I had more than one electrical output being used. It kind of shorted. Using it stand-alone (and this is in the instructions), it works just fine.I add ground cardamon, nutmeg, and cinnamon in the grinds. I will be adding saffron next. I like spiced coffee.

We purchased this cute little espresso machine for the office because plain drip coffee is so boring! Espresso is just what we need to get our day going and give us an afternoon pick-me-up. We are newbies to brewing our own espresso, so this is our first foray into an at-home machine. This machine was super easy to set-up, the instructions were easy to follow and it brewed us all some great cortaditos and coladas. We are still trying out different methods of brewing, but overall we are loving this machine! You can't beat the price, too!

I got this on sale for $27. I have learned how to make Starbuck's signature White Chocolate Mocha at home using this machine. For a small, non-industrial espresso machine, it is amazing! It does its job well! My husband likes his hot so the milk steamer/frother was a must. I usually drink the cold version so that part wasn't a necessity for me but knew he would kill me if our machine didn't have it. I am so impressed with this machine. We have had it about a month and have already saved 100s of dollars! This espresso machine is fast and easy to use. I skeptical at first because it was so cheap and you can't adjust the temperature or anything else but wow! Bella is definitely doing something right. As long as this machine holds up for a while, I will be more than happy with it! We use it at least 4 times a day and during our last snow weekend we used it a lot more. Very impressed, especially considering the price and simplicity of this machine!

I have really tried to give this product the benefit of the doubt, thus waiting this long to write my review. I had another inexpensive 15-bar espresso machine for more than 10 years before it expired, so I thought I'd get great use out of this one. It barely produces enough steam to process the beans; it doesn't produce enough steam to make ANY crema for a true espresso. The deck is too short to put a cup or mug on, so I had to take away the drip pan to make anything fit. (You can't tell this from a photo.) After only 3 months' use, the markings on the selector knob have rubbed off. The ON light is too dim to see. (I have normal lighting in my kitchen.) The top to the water chamber is hard to open and close because the grip strips are too shallow. (I am not physically handicapped.) I am really unhappy and have wasted my money. DON't waste yours.

The construction is very cheap and if this lasts 12 months I would be amazed. I paid $20, which I think is about the right price. Everything is plastic and feels very fragile. The other problem is that the head is very deep and hard to ramp.I had read other reviews about all these trick techniques to make a decent hot cup, but I found the temperature plenty hot enough. If it lasts 12 months, it was a good buy.

Hot water & steam spewed out from between the machine and the coffee holder each time I tried to brew an espresso. I had to clean up a mess, avoid getting burned by steam and hot water, and got about 2/3 of the espresso I’d hoped for. I tried super fine grind to a coarse grind. It still spewed steam and hot water. Don’t waste you $$$. I wound up buying a Mr Coffee espresso maker for less and it works great!!!!

True to form, the knob in my espresso maker just broke off. I had my doubt as many review said it had a flimsy knob, but I just though it was a limited number that would be affected. Silly me.It might seem as a bargain, but if only lasts around 6 to 7 months, it's the same as throwing your money in the trash... Sad thing too beacuase it actually makes a nice espresso cup. Too bad they didnt care to invest in stronger components.

Eh, save up for something a bit higher in quality. I have no real issue. Other than the top pour cover for the mini carafe does not stay in place if you top it. It easily falls off when you tilt it. It does not snap in as you would assume it would. At least, that's the only problem I have with it.

This is an absolute steal! Ive owned other espresso machines in this same price range. However this Bella machine makes the espresso a lot better than the others... you actually see and taste the crema from the espresso. Its very impressive and any true espresso fanatic will appreciate this. The frothing wand is great. I personally remove the black plastic cover for better frothing.

Honestly I do not know what I expected for the price. You get what you paid for - Cheap plastic - the plastic cap that covers the lid broke instantly - I have used it three times and the on/ off/ steamer knob will be the next to go very shortly. Its so light you have to hold the whole thing down when putting the coffee filter back in.Lesson learned
